Oh, Poor Elmo!

There is no need for a script on this one.  The pictures say it all...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROCK!

My little boy is ONE!  I can't believe it.  He is walking, climbing, opening all the doors in the house, going up and down the stairs, getting into everything in sight, and is so dang fun to spite all that.  I could have never been prepared for a boy.  Our girls did nothing like this, ever! In fact , right now he has left the room and probably getting into more trouble. His favorite things to play with are the broom, carpet rake, and vacuum attachment.  He loves to bang spoons on my wood floor, it may not survive him.

The Fruits of Our Labor

We've got peaches!! Joyce, my m-i-l, came over and helped me can peaches for the first time.  It was fun, but took hours.  We didn't expect to get this many jars.  I appreciate her doing that with me.

Don't they look pretty!

And this was what Ali did while we worked.  It was a horrible mess which you all know I don't enjoy, but it kept her busy for hours!!  And it cleaned up pretty quickly.  An hour later the missionaries were over for dinner!

Yellowstone

During our little vacation to Idaho, Dave and the kids went to Yellowstone Park for a couple days.  The kids had a good time walking around the geysers and seeing the wildlife.  We also stopped in Jackson Hole and went down the Alpine slide.  Ali lost her shoe on the chair lift, and Aubrey proved to be quite the slow poke on the slide.

Brock Climbing

Brock has turned into quite the climber.  He has been trying to climb things for quite a while, but this is the first real time he has been able to get on top of something.  After he got on top of the counter, he turned on the water and played in the sink until we cut off his fun.

First Day Of School

Yesterday was the first day of school!  Ali and Aubrey both loved everything about it. Ali was off to kindergarten and Aubrey is in the fifth grade.  I feel so old!  I was reminded just how much I hate carpooling to Cumorah.  It is so dang far.  I worked hard to get a picture of Ali without the fake smile, but we would've been late for school.  These were the best!!
