Family Pictures

Rachel took some pictures for us.  She is amazing!! These are only a few but I love how they turned out.  Dave is still with us, just not in any of these.  We will post some with dad!!

Battle Wounds

I know this looks bad, but he did it to himself.  He scratched his face and it would not stop bleeding.  He fell asleep so I put him down.  When I went in to get him it had run clear down his face.  It looks like there would be quite a scratch under all the blood, but it is a tiny, tiny scratch.  

Sleep Again!!

Brock is sleeping through the night!!  He is six weeks old and sleeping anywhere from eight to nine and a half hours at night.  This is the earliest I have had a child sleep through the night.  It is heaven and I hope it continues.  The only thing I can say is that the swaddle blanket my mother-in-law gave me gets the credit.  The very night we first used it he slept all night and ever since.  He now takes really good naps during the day!!  

Brock's Blessing

We blessed Brock today.  Dave gave him a wonderful blessing.  We had a lot of our family here and some great friends.  He isn't really happy in this picture, I was surprised he was so good during the blessing.

HALLOWEEN

Here are the kids in their Halloween costumes.  Aubrey was a pirate and Ali was a gypsy girl.  I didn't feel like dressing Brock up in a hot, uncomfortable costume this year.  They had a blast at the Trunk or Treat on thursday and then had fun handing out candy on friday.

Pumpkin Patch

Ali and I went to the pumpkin patch with her preschool class today.  Dave stayed home with Brock so I could have some one on one time with Ali.  We had a great time!  Ali went down that slide as many times as she could before we had to leave.  The pictures are all black and white because I don't know how to run a camera and had no idea it was set to black and white.

More Baby Brock

Brock is here!

Brock David Walnum was born September 23, 2008 at 7:42pm at Southern Hills Hospital.  He weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 20.5" long.  He has been a relatively quite baby so far, and the girls are positively giddy about him.  We brought him home a little over 24 hours after he was born.  The labor was long compared to the girls at about 9 hours.  Both mom and baby are doing very well and are comfortably at home.

Aubrey's Birthday

Here are some pictures of Aubrey's birthday.  We had cake and ice cream at Kevin and Melissa's house due to the construction at ours.  Aubrey also had a party at Justice clothes store with some of her friends.

Florida Trip

Aubrey and Dave went on a quick jaunt to Florida to use up some expiring free airline tickets. The trip started in Saint Louis with a layover. They took the train as far as time would allow and saw the arch from a distance, barely returning to the airport in time for the flight to Florida. They stayed on Key Biscayne Friday and Saturday nights. They swam in the pool and ocean, visited the Keys (Key Largo mostly), and went to Gator Park for a tour of the Everglades. As the hurricane approached, they changed their plans and drove up to Orlando early Sunday morning and stayed at a Disney World resort. They first went to the Animal Kingdom theme park, then spent 6 hours at Blizzard Beach, a water park there in Disney World. After that, they went to the Magical Kingdom for another 6 hours until it closed at 3:00 am. They then flew back home on Monday, thoroughly exhausted.
